Women's midlife strength & health
Resistance training designed for perimenopause, menopause, and every strong decade after — prescribed by a scientist who coauthored the national guidelines and has spent thirty years under the bar herself.
Why this is different
The fitness industry is full of strong opinions about women and strength. Very few of them come from someone who has run the clinical trials, reviewed the evidence, and loaded the barbell.
As a coauthor of the 2026 ACSM Position Stand on Resistance Training Prescription, I don't interpret the national standards secondhand — I helped set them. Your program is built on the actual evidence, not a paraphrase of it.
CSCS, USA Weightlifting coach, former collegiate strength coach — and a lifter since college. I know what a program feels like on a Tuesday when life is busy and your joints have opinions. Prescription meets practicality.
NIH- and DOD-funded trial experience and national merit review work mean I evaluate results the way science does — with real outcomes for bone, muscle, metabolic health, and quality of life. Not before-and-after photos.

About
I'm a resistance exercise physiologist and health outcomes researcher. My career has run through Yale, Syracuse, and Penn State, through NIH- and DOD-funded clinical trials, and through national merit review of patient-centered research. In 2026, I coauthored the ACSM Position Stand on Resistance Training Prescription — the document that defines how resistance exercise should be prescribed.
But I didn't come to this from a desk. I came to it from a barbell. I've been lifting since college, coached collegiate athletes, and hold CSCS and USA Weightlifting credentials. When women in midlife tell me the fitness industry wasn't built for them, I don't just believe them — I've read the evidence gaps and lived the training floor.
Exercise Prescription Lab exists to close that gap: rigorous, individualized strength prescription for women navigating perimenopause, menopause, and everything after — and scientific partnership for the organizations building this future.
